The concept phase is important because it sets the scene for the entire project. We will create a design brief of practical and design requirements for the project, we talk through floor plans, lifestyle and aesthetics so that I fully understand your requirements and the team you have chosen to work with.

I will take your brief to start working on researching creative solutions and schemes for each space. Developing the scheme, layered with mood, character and texture.

My skill is bringing your individual style and ideas to life, adding specialist knowledge and tricks of the trade to achieve your dream in the space you have, within the budget you have. Whether you adopt the suggestions or not, you will know that you have explored options that you wouldn’t have considered without my design process.

I make it happen by putting together a thought through presentation covering all design aspects of the project and this is presented to you. Sometimes this process will be more organic, depending on the project stage and also time frames we are working towards.

This is the most important stage of the project, I will add technical skills, detail and use my most trusted suppliers and trade contact…

I have been working closely with third parties for many years, whether they are architects, project managers, furniture makers, decorators or soft furnishing specialists. This is an essential part of the design and when I am working on a project the design and solutions proposed is only possible with the help of many different trusted people.

I do pride myself on our efficiency and project time keeping. I am experienced working to tight schedules and detailed timelines. Ideally the design would be signed off months ahead so we can focus juggle things such as joinery, upholstery, furniture making and lighting design into a finely tuned schedule!

When working on complete new build and large renovation projects the implementation stage is a key part of the project success. I like to support my clients to minimise stress, provide trade specialist and contractors with all the design details to implement the design as intended.

I know skilled tradesmen who work to a high standards and having access to sources of furniture and materials that are only available to trade gives every design project that extra care.
